KickFit Question and Answer

Calvary Family Hybrid Hapkido in Colorado Springs

Thank you for your interest in KickFit. We take great pride in the quality of our instruction and the implementation of the values, standards and morality stressed within our program. It is our sincere hope that this page will answer any questions that you may have.

How is this class different from Kick N Tone/Kick Box Aerobic classes at local gyms? Very few if any of the classes taught outside of Calvary Family Martial Arts and Fitness have instructors with martial arts, boxing, and fitness backgrounds. With our combined knowledge we can assure our clients the VERY BEST results.

Do I have to be in shape to take this class? Not at all. We are fortunate to have world class athletes and Olympians train with us, but you do not have to be "in shape" to participate.

The aerobic and step classes at other gyms sometimes are just too difficult for me to learn. How difficult is the class? Our classes are designed to be as challenging as YOU would like for them to be. We are able to increase and decrease the intensity of the workout for each client in the class, in this way we are able to ensure that you don't meet your goals, but you exceed them. The combinations that you learn are not difficult to learn at all. Children to Senior citizens have picked up the combinations on their very first day!

Your classes are popular, will I be lost in the crowd? Not at all. Unlike many gyms our instructors are trained to instruct. That means that we make our way around to each and every person in our class many times to ensure that you are progressing and to give you that extra support when you need it. Our class is a group class with private instruction.

Can I get hurt? As with any athletics injury can occur, but it is rare. The reason for this is because you learn the PROPER way to punch, kick and strike by those who know body mechanics and how to properly deliver the combinations. Because of these expertise you will see that the tendency for injury will decrease and your overall development of body fat loss and muscle density will increase.

How old and young can I be to take this class? Anyone under the age of 10 must have a parent enrolled in the class. We are considering teaching a class for 10 and under only, but that will depend upon the demand of such a class. There is no age limit to participate in this class, however it is advised for older adults and those with health issues to consult your physician.

What will I achieve in this class? The real question is what do you want to achieve in the class. Remember, we specifically design this class to meet your particular needs. For some they desire increased self confidence. This can come from learning how to defend yourself in this class. For others they find their self confidence in losing body fat and increasing muscle tone. And for others still they desire to maintain their overall fitness level or increase their aerobic and anaerobic capacities. All of these things including increased flexibility and more are achieved through this class.

What is the cost? Let there be no doubt, there is a cost for inactivity. Diabetes, Heart Disease, Obesity, High Blood Sugar, not being around to share and grow with your children and loved ones. Those are just some of the "costs" associated for not participating within our program. What are you willing to invest for a lifetime of fulfillment? We are more than reasonable in pricing and surpass the price through by supplying superior service and product. Experience our value by participating in a complimentary class.

Can I find this program elsewhere? No, not within Colorado Springs. We are in the process of training others but currently Calvary Family Martial Arts and Fitness IS THE ONLY place offering this elite training experience. We have trained other instructors within the United States who are now able to teach our unique program. Many are attempting to imitate our program, but we are fortunate to offer our original and continually enhanced program.

What is needed to get started? How and when can I begin? What is needed is Desire, Discipline, Dedication, and Determination. You supply those.
