You are not what you think you are, but what you think, you are." Think big. Dream big. Pray big... and look for big results. It all begins with changing the size of your thinking.

My wish as an instructor, as a person and as a father is to impact those around me in a positive light. My desire is to act positively instead of reacting negatively. As a person, I will falter, I will often times seem hypocritical, but I cannot allow the sometimes negative views of others upon me to discourage me or stop me in making in a difference in someone else's life.

The sad truth is that many of us each year look back through the year and find it hard to discover something positive that we have done for another without asking for something in return. How have I impacted someone's life this past year? How have I made a difference? I ask myself these questions constantly and sometimes honestly, sadly, I find a disheartened answer - I've made no difference. I can only hope that my making no difference is the exception and not the norm.

With everything that we do, from our jobs, from our martial arts class, from our daily conversations and activities, let us make a difference - one person at a time.

"I am only one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do."
Edward Everett Hale
"It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do little -
do what you can."
Sydney Smith
"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment
before starting to improve the world."
